Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Ceramics FAQ
How should I care for my ceramic pieces?
Most of my ceramics are dishwasher safe unless otherwise specified in the listing description. However, it is best practice to hand wash your handmade ceramic pieces to prolong their life. If you decide to put them in the dishwasher, please only put them on the top shelf.
If something is described as non-dishwasher safe, please only hand wash it.
Oh no! I broke my one-of-a-kind piece, can I get a replacement?
Firstly, i’m so sorry your piece broke! Shit happens. If you broke an item from my store within a year or so of purchase and want a similar replacement, please reach out and inform me which piece broke. I may be able to create a replacement for you depending on if I still have the same materials I used. However, if you expect the piece to be identical then I may not be able to fill your request since I don’t use molds, everything is hand sculpted or wheel thrown and one of a kind. I can only create something similar. You must cover the cost of the replacement and shipping. It may or may not cost the same as your original piece since I create things in batches for time efficiency.
Are your ceramics microwave safe?
Yes! Most of my ceramics are microwavable unless otherwise specified. Items that are not dishwasher safe are also not microwave safe.
Shipping FAQ
When will my order be shipped?
Orders will be shipped within 1-7 business days.
When will my order arrive? Will I receive a tracking number?
I ship all ceramics with USPS priority mail, which typically takes 1-3 business days. However, this timeframe is not guaranteed, especially to the east coast and/or during the busy holiday season. I will send you the tracking number once your order has been shipped.
How do you calculate shipping costs? Why is shipping so expensive?
Shipping prices are a rough average/estimate of the cost per weight to ship items to 3 “zones” using priority mail. Cheapest is west coast, and most expensive is Hawaii and anything east of Minnesota and Texas. Carrier calculated shipping is not included in my tier of Squarespace membership, so I try my best to keep these prices fair and as up to date as possible. Shipping ceramics in general is not cheap, these prices may increase during the holiday season, and please keep in mind I am not amazon and cannot guarantee to provide fast or cheap shipping.
What kind of packing materials do you use?
I use various types of packaging. Mostly recycled bubble wrap, paper or packing peanut padding. Depending on the item, I will double box it as well to provide additional protection. Some items may be in an eBay box or with eBay tape since we have those packing materials. I use what I have. Until I get new supplies, the packaging may or may not be attractive.
